Wednesday, November 4, 2009 Maybe it was the Halloween festivities taking place or the alignment of the planets, but the first weekend of the MLS playoffs was bizarre enough to warrant an investigation by the FBI's Fringe Division. In terms of playoff peculiarities, one need look no further than what transpired this past weekend in suburban Salt Lake City, where Columbus head coach Robert Warzycha opted to leave reigning league MVP Guillermo Barros Schelotto on the bench.
