Former England international Teddy Sheringham is in talks with Beckenham Town, according to the Kent League outfit. The 43-year-old, who is wanted for the club's FA Vase games next season, has not played since a spell with Colchester at the end of the 2007-08 season. Beckenham's chairman Chris McCarthy told the club's website: ''I'm having talks with Teddy about the situation but these things do take a lot of sorting out.
