Wednesday, June 24, 2009 Former Argentina coach Alfio Basile will take charge of Boca Juniors next season after agreeing terms with the club he steered to two successive league titles in the 2005/06 season, local media reported on Tuesday. The agreement, confirmed in the media after Basile's agent met with Boca manager Carlos Bianchi, ended days of negotiations between the parties following the dismissal by Boca of coach Carlos Ischia.
