Everton deny rumours of imminent takeover bid

Everton officials have denied speculation the Premier League club is on the brink of being sold. Reports had suggested a deal was at an advanced stage, linking chairman Bill Kenwright with a trip overseas for face-to-face talks with a potential buyer.
