    Welcome to October. With the regular season in high gear, here's a look at how things are shaking out with just a month to go: A perfect start Seven ranked teams started last week undefeated. Five remain: No. 1 Wake Forest (10-0-0), No. 3 Northwestern (9-0-2), No. 9 University of Illinois-Chicago (8-0-3), No. 11 Saint Louis (4-0-5) and No. 16 Loyola (Md.) (8-0-1).
