AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti was quick to defend his team's performance following the disappointing draw at Cagliari on Sunday. The Rossoneri failed to take advantage of defeats for Roma and Juventus as they were held to a goalless stalemate by bottom-of-the-table Cagliari. The result ended Milan's run of three successive league wins and left the Rossoneri in eighth place in Serie A - three points behind leaders Lazio.
