Thursday, October 2, 2008 St. John's sat out the NCAA tournament in Fall 2007 for the first time since 1991. That year also happened to mark coach Dave Masur's debut season as the school's associate athletic director. All Masur's teams had done before that -- besides making the tourney for 15 consecutive years -- is win 12 Big East titles, advance to 10 straight Sweet Sixteens through 2005, play in three College Cups and capture the 1996 national championship.
