Pompey sign Traore on loan and Thomas permanently

On a busy day for Portsmouth the club have completed the permanent signing of winger Jerome Thomas from Charlton Athletic and taken Arsenal's French left-back Armand Traore on a one-year loan deal. Pompey offered Thomas a one-year contract after the 25-year-old had impressed in the first month of a one-year loan deal from Charlton; the Championship side will now receive an undisclosed fee if Thomas makes a certain number of appearances.
