Friendlies: Elliott goal sinks Newcastle

    Newcastle slipped to their first defeat of pre-season after Doncaster substitute Stuart Elliott gave his side a one-goal victory at the Keepmoat Stadium. The Magpies included French trialist Sebastien Bassong in their starting XI while Geremi captained the side.
