AZ deny link to midfield free-agent Davids

    ALKMAAR, July 25 (Eredivisie) - AZ Alkmaar have denied former Holland international Edgar Davids is set to join the club after he was spotted training with Louis van Gaal's men on Friday. The 35-year-old free agent has been working with AZ to improve his fitness before the start of the season, but club press officer Daan Schippers has denied he is a transfer target.
