    Giggs breaks Charlton's United record

    MOSCOW, May 21 (Reuters) - Ryan Giggs broke Bobby Charlton's all-time Manchester United club appearance record on Wednesday when he replaced Paul Scholes after 87 minutes of the Champions League final against Chelsea at the Luzhniki Stadium. It was Giggs' 759th appearance for United, surpassing Charlton's mark of 758 which was also set against Chelsea in his last match for United in April 1973.
