Monday, September 13, 2004 RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept 12 (Reuters) - Santos stayed top of the Brazilian championship after scoring twice in five minutes to beat arch-rivals Palmeiras 2-1 on Sunday. Pele's former club Santos avenged a 4-0 home defeat by the same opponents earlier in the season with goals by striker Deivid and midfielder Elano before halftime.
