    Liverpool's failure to challenge for the Premiership title this season has seen manager Gerard Houllier heavily criticised and under pressure for most of the 03/04 campaign. Following the Reds fifth round FA Cup exit to Portsmouth at the weekend the Frenchman said he expected to be 'slaughtered' by disappointed fans and the media.
