Indoor league follows lead of WUSA

The MISL is following the lead of the WUSA, college and youth soccer programs throughout the country by endorsing the use of protective headguards in its games. Indoor soccer has been around since 1978 in some form, and the current nine-team Major Indoor Soccer League was impressed by the popularity of the device with players, coaches, administrators and trainers on every level.
