Friday, October 20, 2000 ATHENS, Ga. -- Quincy Carter wasn't able to practice Thursday for No. 12 Georgia, and coach Jim Donnan said he has no intention of playing his ailing quarterback this week. Carter threw on the side, as he did Wednesday, but his left arm was still too sore to allow him to practice. Cory Phillips, a third-year sophomore, continued to run the offense and is expected to start Saturday's game at Kentucky.
