Sunday, November 8, 2009 Boston College landed one of its top football recruits as Jarrett Darmstatter of Barnegat, N.J., has verbally committed to play for the Eagles. Listed at 6-foot-4 and 242 pounds, Darmstatter, the No. 32nd-ranked tight end in the country by Scouts, Inc., chose BC over Purdue. He also had considered Rutgers, Syracuse and Central Florida.
