SAN DIEGO -- Michael Blanchard rushed for 102 yards on 10 carries and threw for another 78 yards to help Davidson snap a three-game losing streak and beat San Diego 34-27 on Saturday. Blanchard replaced Matt Heavner at quarterback in the second quarter with the Wildcats (3-6, 3-4 Pioneer) trailing 17-14.
