Terps' Turner injures MCL in loss

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Maryland coach Ralph Friedgen says quarterback Chris Turner injured a ligament in his left knee Saturday in the loss at North Carolina State. Turner injured the medial collateral ligament in his knee as he was hit by two Wolfpack defenders, one high and one low, while throwing a pass to Torrey Smith with about 4½ minutes left in the first half of the 38-31 loss.
