Saturday, November 7, 2009 UNIVERSITY PARK, Texas -- SMU blocked a field goal and made one of its own to extend its one-point halftime lead to 24-20 at the end of three quarters. SMU is trying to get to five wins on the season, leaving the Mustangs one shy of bowl eligibility with four games left. The Mustangs have the ball and start the fourth quarter with second-and-9 at their own 24-yard line. Penalties continue to hurt the Mustangs. They have nine of them for 92 yards.
