SMU 21, Rice 20 at the half

UNIVERSITY PARK, Texas -- The SMU Mustangs sure made the end of the first half exciting. SMU's Bryan McCann picked up a blocked field goal and ran 74 yards to the end zone as time expired to give the Mustangs a 21-20 lead. Rice went on a drive at the end of the half and set up for a 37-yard field goal with two seconds left to take a nine-point lead. But Sterling Moore blocked the kick and McCann returned it.
