Friday, November 6, 2009 If you can set aside the shootout loss and appreciate the season series the Hawks and Avalanche have embarked on, at least you've been entertained. 130 minutes of hockey with a combined 17 skaters in two shootouts adds up to 1-0-1 for both teams. That's been fun, but now the bad news. The Hawks continue to make that extra mental mistake or two which is costing them. In Phoenix, it was a bad forecheck by Kris Versteeg which led to a huge goal.
