One factor affecting matchups that we haven't discussed very much in this space so far is weather, and there's a simple reason why: It doesn't really matter much. While there's the occasional game like the 3-0, Steelers-Dolphins mud-tilt from 2007, or the dancing-goalposts gale game between the Bills and Patriots in Week 17 last year, weather tends to play a limited role in NFL games.
