Tuesday, November 3, 2009 That was one ugly half of basketball. Jazz 37, Mavs 35. I guess you can give the Mavs credit for playing tough defense, but it's difficult not to focus on just how dreadful they were offensively. The Mavs shot 31.9 percent from the floor (15 of 47). They've been just as awful inside the paint as they have been from the perimeter. J.J. Barea (six points in seven minutes) was the only offensive bright spot, but he had to take a seat on the bench once Deron Williams exploited his defensive defic ... Activate your ESPN Profile!
