Monday, November 2, 2009 In addition to workouts for running backs Maurice Hicks and Marcus Mason on Tuesday, the Patriots also hosted running back Thomas Brown and tight ends Rob Myers and Buck Ortega for workouts at Gillette Stadium. Running back and tight end are two areas that are thin on the roster. The Patriots have five running backs on the roster, but with Fred Taylor (ankle) and Sammy Morris (knee) sidelined, they could be looking for practice squad depth.
