Monday, November 2, 2009 Bill Walton, an ESPN NBA analyst since the network's coverage of the league began in the 2002-03 season, has decided not to return. He missed nearly all of last season while recovering from major back surgery. "As I return after a grueling multiyear, life-threatening, life-changing ordeal with back problems, it is time to dedicate the rest of my life to service," Walton said in a statement Monday.
