Monday, November 2, 2009 VALENCIA, Spain -- Nikolay Davydenko of Russia cruised into the second round of the Valencia Open with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Colombian qualifier Alejandro Falla. Also, Tomas Berdych beat Paul-Henri Mathieu of France 6-3, 6-4 in the hard-court tournament at the City of Arts and Sciences. In other opening-round matches Monday, Albert Montanes defeated qualifier Roberto Bautista-Agut 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 and Guillermo Garcia-Lopez of Spain beat Simon Greul of Germany 7-5, 6-2.
