Monday, November 2, 2009 The Patriots are working out free-agent running backs Maurice Hicks (sixth year) and Marcus Mason (second year) Monday at Gillette Stadium, according to a league source. With Fred Taylor (ankle) and Sammy Morris (knee) sidelined, the Patriots have only three healthy running backs on the roster (Laurence Maroney, Kevin Faulk, and BenJarvus Green-Ellis).
