HOUSTON -- Case Keenum and Houston (No. 18 BCS, No. 15 AP) had 57 seconds to score and avoid overtime with Southern Mississippi on Saturday. The nation's most potent offense needed just 36. Keenum threw for a career-high 559 yards and had five touchdowns, his last coming with 21 seconds remaining, and the Cougars escaped with a 50-43 win.
