Dawson to honor UConn's Howard

NEW YORK -- Undefeated light heavyweight Chad Dawson will honor slain Connecticut football player Jasper Howard when he fights Glen Johnson next week in Hartford, Conn. Dawson was born in South Carolina but resides in New Haven, about an hour's drive from the UConn campus in Storrs. Dawson plans to wear Howard's No. 6 on his trunks and has contacted the school about wearing the player's jersey into the XL Center on Nov. 7.
