Bryan Schmidt will compete this week as defending champion in the 2009 Bassmaster Federation Nation Championship with one goal: to qualify for another Bassmaster Classic. The Olney, Texas, angler won a spot in last February's Classic by outfishing all comers from the Central Division at the 2008 Federation Nation Championship.
