Tuesday, October 27, 2009 Texas' Mack Brown, Oklahoma State's Mike Gundy, Houston's Kevin Sumlin and TCU's Gary Patterson are among those on the Paul "Bear" Bryant Award watch list. The award honors the college football coach of the year. Some Big 12 South coaches have won the award in the past. Mack Brown was the 2005 winner, with Bob Stoops taking home the hardware in 2000. Both won national championships in those seasons. Larry Coker, now the coach at UT-San Antonio, won the award in 2001 when he was coaching Miami. ... Activate your ESPN Profile!
