Defenders earn top honors

Minnesota is getting defensive about soccer. In fact, three of its four coaches-selected players of the year, dubbed Mr. and Miss Soccer in each classification, play defending roles. Florida State commit Kassey Kallman who has helped Woodbury (Minn.) to a 19-0-1 season and a FAB 50 No. 1 ranking was named Class AA Miss Soccer. Goalkeeper Maddie Jobe of Benilde-St. Margaret's (St. Louis Park, Minn.) earned the honors for Class A. In boys' soccer, Bijan Jibari, a defender for undefeated and FAB ...
