I know the injury history and that he's coming off surgery. But if new ownership is willing to spend the money on Ben Sheets (and we should point out that Tom Hicks was, since the Rangers offered Sheets a deal that was in place before he failed a physical prior to the 2009 season), I'd write the check as long as the salary was reasonable and included plenty of incentives and not guaranteed money to protect the club should he get injured again.
