Saturday, October 24, 2009 UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- Whether or not the Washington Capitals realized it, they had the New York Islanders just where they wanted them in the third period -- out in front by two goals. The Capitals' offense woke up with a pair of goals in the final frame of regulation, and Brooks Laich finished off the comeback a minute into overtime as the Capitals beat the lowly Islanders 3-2 on Saturday night.
