Saturday, October 24, 2009 ROSEMONT, Ill.---The Manitoba Moose spoiled the Wolves' debut of Chris Chelios and coach Don Lever, defeating Chicago 1-0 in a shootout Friday night. Right winger Tim Stapleton had the only goal for Chicago (1-5-0-1) in the shootout. Mike Keane and Matt Pettinger scored to give Manitoba the victory. "We have a lot of work to do, but at least we competed hard," Lever said. "Manny (Legace) was great in net, and Cheli was fabulous. He was beating those young kids up the ice a couple of times. ...
