Friday, October 23, 2009 LONDON -- New England Patriots rookie receiver Julian Edelman has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because of his injured forearm, making it a near certainty that the Patriots will fill one of their two open roster spots with his replacement. Third-round draft choice Brandon Tate would seemingly be the leading candidate because of his added value as a kickoff and punt returner, roles that Edelman also held.
