Friday, October 23, 2009 With Carlos Delgado now a free agent, I've been asked quite a few questions about New York Mets first-base prospect Ike Davis, and how close he is to being ready for the big leagues. Davis was the 18th overall pick in the 2008 draft out of Arizona State. The big 6-foot-5 lefty failed to hit a homer in 215 at-bats in the New York-Penn league that year, which was very disappointing for someone whose main asset is supposed to be power.
