ESPN Friday, October 23, 2009 On the pretty September morning when an "Outside the Lines" crew arrived at Jeremy Mayfield's home in Catawba, N.C., Mayfield stepped outside and said his day had started earlier than he wanted, in a way he hadn't expected. First came the knock on his door at 5 a.m., then the realization that the people doing the knocking were the police.
