My beloved readers, it is I. And forgive me if I'm getting a little emotional -- it is that time of year. Yes, Sunday is the last short-track race of the year, at Martinsville Speedway, and that will be followed by the final restrictor-plate race of the season, at Talladega. Hopefully we get as good a finish as in the spring, just not as dangerous.
