Even though more names than usual were on the trading block, little happened before the deadline. The Chiefs and Rams were the only teams to get value. The Chiefs traded backup nose tackle Tank Tyler to the Panthers for a fifth-round pick because they felt comfortable with Ron Edwards as their nose tackle.
