ALCS: History bodes well for Yankees

4:35 p.m. ET Since the introduction of the best-of-seven League Championship Series in 1985, 20 teams have taken a 2-0 series lead. Of those 20 clubs, 17 have advanced to the World Series. The only three who failed to advance: The 1985 Blue Jays, the 1985 Dodgers, and the 2004 Yankees, who were eliminated by Boston despite winning the first three games in the ALCS.
