On Saturdays throughout the season, the plan will be to highlight one Patriots player's football journey. This week, it is rookie cornerback Darius Butler, who grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The University of Connecticut standout was drafted by the Patriots in the second round, 41st overall. He is currently fourth on the cornerback depth chart, playing a few series each week as part of a rotation which reflects the early confidence he's earned from the coaching staff.
