Friday, October 16, 2009 CHICAGO -- With the NFL trade deadline fast approaching, the Bears opted to upgrade their defensive line by acquiring Tampa Bay defensive end Gaines Adams in exchange for a 2010 second-round pick. The Bears are expected to make a corresponding roster move Saturday to reach the maximum allotment of 53 players on their active roster. A former first-round pick out of Clemson, Adams recorded a combined 12.5 sacks in his first two seasons but had just one in five games this year for Tampa Bay. ... Activate your ESPN Profile!
