Injuries leave U.S. roster a question mark

As successful and exhilarating as the Americans' final set of fixtures was, this week was a disaster on the injury front. First, of course, was the loss of forward Charlie Davies, whose severe injuries, suffered in an auto crash Tuesday, leave his future status in doubt. Then came the loss of defender Oguchi Onyewu, who tore his patellar tendon in the final 10 minutes of the match against Costa Rica, putting him out of commission for at least three months and possibly more.
