Thursday, October 15, 2009 SAO PAULO -- Fernando Alonso downplayed comments made by future Ferrari teammate Felipe Massa, who accused him of knowing Nelson Piquet Jr. was going to deliberately crash at the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix to help him win the race. "I think first of all I don't know if it's true or not, maybe there was a misunderstanding with the media or with Felipe," Alonso said on Thursday. "I think later he said a different thing.
