Report: Farrell says no to Indians

CLEVELAND -- Cross Boston pitching coach John Farrell off Cleveland's managerial wish list. Farrell tells The Plain Dealer for a story on its Web site that it was an honor to be considered for the job but he feels he has to fulfill his commitment to the Red Sox. The newspaper reported Farrell called Indians general manager Mark Shapiro on Wednesday and told him he was staying with Boston. Farrell pitched for Cleveland and was a farm director for the club.
