Tuesday, October 13, 2009 LINZ, Austria -- Top-seeded Flavia Pennetta of Italy routed Meghann Shaughnessy of the United States 6-1, 6-1 on Tuesday in the opening round of the Generali Ladies. Pennetta had lost both previous matches to Shaughnessy. Pennetta, ranked No. 11, has eight WTA Tour titles but has yet to win an indoor event. She next plays Anna-Lena Groenefeld of Germany, who defeated Roberta Vinci of Italy 7-5, 6-1. Sixth-seeded Sorana Cirstea of Romania struggled with her serve in losing to Julia Goerges of G ...
