No. 6 Loyola's 19-game winning streak ended in a 21-0 loss to No. 23 McDonogh. Staying in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA), No. 9 Gilman lost to Calvert Hall. Since the teams are so close in the rankings it is difficult to think of Urbana over Thomas Johnson as an upset, but it was No. 21 over No. 20.
