Report: Southern Miss' Wilkes dies

Peter Wilkes, a walk-on punter at Southern Miss, died Saturday at a Memphis, Tenn., hospital after being shot at his home in Union City, Tenn., according to the Hattiesburg American. White, Ranson & White Mahon Funeral Homes in Union City, Tenn, said 18-year-old Wilkes, of Union City, died Saturday at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis. Services are incomplete.
