Friday, October 9, 2009 CHICAGO -- The Chicago White Sox announced on Friday that outfielder Dewayne Wise has declared free agency instead of accepting an assignment to Class AAA Charlotte. The 31-year-old Wise hit .225 with two home runs and 11 RBI in a career-high 84 games with the White Sox in 2009. In two seasons with the White Sox, Wise batted .236 with eight homers and 29 RBI.
